Chemical Reactions and Equations
Here we discuss chemical reactions involving chemical changes and formation of new compounds by the rearrangement of atoms. Discuss about reactants and products. Discuss about the characteristics of chemical reactions like evolution of a gas, formation of a precipitate, change in colour, change in temperature and change in state. Here we discuss chemical equations, learn to write a balanced equation, to make chemical equations more informative by indicating the physical states of reactants and products in the equation, by indicating the heat changes in the equation and by indicating the conditions under which the reaction takes place. Discuss various types of chemical reactions like combination reactions, decomposition reactions, displacement reactions, double displacement reactions oxidation and reduction reactions also discuss oxidizing agents and reducing agents. Discuss the uses of decomposition reactions in our body, effects of oxidation reactions in everyday life,corrosion of metals and rancidity of forth and also prevention of rancidity of food.
2. Acids Bases and Salts
